What is Tertiary Cloth Media Filtration?
Tertiary filtration polishes secondary effluent to meet stringent TSS and phosphorus discharge limits required for nutrient-sensitive receiving waters and water reuse applications. Cloth media filters have become widely adopted for their compact footprint, low energy consumption, and simple operation. They achieve consistent performance across variable loading conditions without the media replacement costs of granular filters.
