Conveyors — Solids Handling

Belt conveyors, screw conveyors, and shaftless systems for moving biosolids, screenings, grit, and bulk materials through treatment facilities.

What is a Solids Conveying System?

Treatment plants generate a constant flow of solids that must move — dewatered biosolids cake from presses to loading areas, screenings from the headworks to dumpsters, grit from classifiers to containers, and lime or other bulk chemicals into feed systems. The right conveying system matches the material characteristics (sticky, stringy, abrasive, odorous), transport distance, elevation change, and facility layout. The wrong choice means plugged equipment, maintenance headaches, and operational disruptions.

Equipment We Represent

Keystone Conveyor — Complete Conveying Solutions

  • Custom-designed conveying systems for treatment plant applications
  • Belt conveyors: side wall, troughed, slider bed, shuttle, pivoting, and stack-out configurations
  • Screw conveyors: including shaftless designs for sticky and stringy materials
  • Belt elevators for vertical transport
  • Lime feed and mix systems for chemical addition
  • Bag feed systems for chemical handling
  • Dust collection equipment for dry material handling

WTP Equipment — Shaftless Screw Conveyors

  • Enclosed conveying systems with no internal shafts or bearings — eliminates wrapping and plugging from stringy materials
  • Handles: wastewater screenings, dewatered sludge, grit, food processing waste, and pulp and paper waste
  • Standard designs and custom layouts available to fit facility geometry

DryCake — Orgaspiral Screw Conveyor

  • Shaftless screw conveyor for transferring screenings, grit, and organic solids
  • Designed to feed downstream units such as grit/solids removal systems
  • Enclosed design contains odor and simplifies material handling
