Blowers - Aeration
Efficient aeration blowers for biological wastewater treatment — the single largest energy cost at most plants.
What is Aeration Blower Technology?
Blowers supply the oxygen that drives biological wastewater treatment — without adequate aeration, the microorganisms that consume BOD and ammonia simply cannot do their job. Aeration blowers typically represent 50–60% of a treatment plant's total energy consumption, making efficiency the most critical selection criterion. The two primary technologies are multistage centrifugal blowers (efficient at high volume) and positive displacement (PD) blowers (consistent air volume regardless of system pressure).
