What is Process Mixing?

Effective mixing is essential throughout the wastewater treatment process — equalization basins must stay uniform, anoxic reactors need sustained solids suspension without aeration, digesters require mixing to prevent stratification and scum accumulation, and chemical feed systems demand rapid dispersion. Without proper mixing, treatment efficiency drops, dead zones form, and operational problems multiply. For potable water systems, tank mixing addresses thermal stratification, ice prevention, and water quality maintenance in storage tanks.
