What is Flocculation?

Flocculation gently mixes chemically conditioned water to aggregate fine suspended particles into larger, settleable floc. The process requires two stages: rapid mix for coagulant dispersion and slow mix for floc growth. Chemical selection (coagulants, flocculant aids, polymers) and mixing energy must be matched to raw water characteristics including turbidity, temperature, and organic loading.
